"Tulsa Recycles" represents Zero Plastic's initiative to gather plastic waste materials from the Tulsa community. This collected waste plastic is essential for Zero Plastic's ongoing research, aimed at discovering innovative methods to convert plastic waste into new, usable products with minimal processing. Presently, the labor-intensive process of sorting and segregating various plastic types constitutes a significant portion of the expenses linked to plastic recycling. Consequently, the limited reprocessing and reuse of plastic materials for new products persist. In a bid to address this issue, Zero Plastic invites the Tulsa community to contribute their waste plastics from everyday sources, such as bottles, food containers, and grocery bags. These donated materials will serve as the foundation for Zero Plastic's experiments, as they explore ways to transform common household waste items into valuable, sustainable creations.
